“I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and made Nevada my permanent residence in 2005. After graduating from high school in Alaska, Mr. Van Ness attended Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan for his freshman year of college. After his freshman year, he transferred to University of Nevada Las Vegas where he completed a degree in Criminal Justice. He attended law school at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and graduated in 2005. He was licensed in Nevada in 2006 and has spent his entire practice helping Nevadans with legal issues.

In his spare time, Mr. Van Ness enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, playing hockey, and cooking. He also works as a part-time instructor at University of Phoenix where he teaches Business Law, Nevada History and U.S. Constitution, and Business Management amongst other classes. He has previously worked as a business lawyer and an insurance defense lawyer in Reno and Las Vegas. He is currently an associate at Wang & Associates .
